As part of the on-going Stop Stockout campaign, HEPS-Uganda joined hands with commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as ‘boda boda’, to raise awareness of their medicine Tuesday 15th December 2009.
The event took place in Mengo, a suburb of Kampala city. About 20 cyclists participated in the event, in which they highlighted their plight as people who overwork but still cannot afford medicines because their trade does not pay much.
HEPS-Uganda and the cyclists were joined by other Stop Stock-out Campaign partners to an activity code named “Raising medicine needs of boda boda cyclists”, which also involved cleaning the streets of Mengo town.
