The strategic objective of this pillar is increased government accountability to people’s health and social needs.
Under this pillar, HEPS-Uganda seeks to increase access to Essential Medicines & Health Supplies (EMHS), advocate for pro-people health policies and laws, advocate for the realization of universal health coverage. HEPS will promote health rights and responsibilities, improved health service delivery in 30 districts of Uganda and monitor the implementation of government and donor commitments and programs.
This will be realized through; policy reviews and analysis, capacity building and training, community empowerment, social accountability, advocacy, research, service delivery, referral and linkage, partnerships and networking, media engagement among others.
