HEPS UGANDA Ag. Executive Director, Mr. Denis Kibira at the panel on stock outs : What Lies Behind An Empty Shelf during the women deliver conference in Copenhagen, Denmark last month. The conference was attended by 5543 participants from 150 countries to deliberate on how to make SDGs matter most for girls and women.  A panel was organized by RHSC on Stockouts: What lies behind an empty shelf.
The panel constituted of; Denis Kibira from HEPS-Uganda, Priya Agrawal (MSD for Mothers), Lily Liu Liqing (Marie Stopes International China, Aissa Laouan Wandarama (Marie Stopes International, Niger) and moderated by Ian Salas from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The panel discussed how supply stockouts continue to be a major barrier to contraceptive access. Empty shelves can provide insight into the relationship between contraceptive choice, rights, the role of community engagement, and national commitment.
