This is a sexual reproductive health project in the districts of Kiboga and Isingiro focusing on influencing district decision makers to increase funding for family planning (FP) and youth friendly services (YFS).
HEPS is doing this through building capacity of communities and health workers to engage decision makers to prioritize and increase the budget for family planning and youth-friendly services. The project is being implemented in 5 sub counties per district including, Bukomero Town Council, Kibiga, Muwanga, Kapeke and Lwamata Sub Counties in Kiboga district . While in Isingiro district we are in  Isingiro Town council, Birere, Ngarama , Nyamuyanja  and Rugaaga Sub counties.
Family Planning Champions Identified;
Twenty (20) people passionate about family planning were identified from the two districts and their capacity built as family planning champions. These were trained in local government planning, budgeting and negotiation skills to enable them engage effectively to further push for increased funding for FP and YFS.
